Dori Barron

Dori is the Director of Financial Aid and VA SCO at Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC). She has served as WPCC’s SCO since 2007 and also served as NCACVA President in 16-17. Dori has a BA in Psychology and a MA in Education with a concentration in Community College Leadership, both from Appalachian State University.

Brad Wrenn is the Coordinator of the Veterans Resource Center at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 2002, Brad earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from East Carolina University. He currently lives in Greensboro with his wife Rachel and their two dogs, Karma and Levi, and he enjoys backpacking, gardening, and beekeeping in his spare time.

Feleta Morton is currently employed as the Veterans Services Coordinator at Alamance Community College (ACC). She has over eight years of experience as a School Certifying Official. Prior to ACC, she was the Associate Registrar at Averett University. There she obtained her BBA (2010) and MBA (2013) in Business Administration. She also has an AAS in Information Systems Technology (2007) from Danville Community College in Danville, VA. She is honored to work assisting veterans, their spouses, and dependents.

Tasha Williams is currently employed at Piedmont Community College as Director, Financial Aid/Veterans Affairs. She has been with Piedmont Community College for over 19 years in the Financial Aid/Veterans Affairs office. She has a BS Degree in Mathematics from NC Central University and MS Degree in Accounting from Gardner-Webb University. She has been a certifying official since March, 2000.

Rachel has been employed at Cape Fear Community College for 19 1/2 years as Assistant Director and Director of Financial Aid. She is also the certifying official for VA. Rachel loves serving those who have served.

Dawn is the Veterans Education Benefits Coordinator at Duke University. She began serving as School Certifying Official in October 2011. You can find her in the University Registrar’s Office, where she’s been a part of the Registrar Team since July 2006. Dawn’s passion is to assist Duke’s active duty service members, veterans, their spouses and dependents in using their education benefits to the maximum level possible as they pursue their education. She considers it an honor to be able to give back to those that have so honorably served our country.
